Somebody remarked to me today that he didn’t feel ready to take on a big challenge right out of college. It occurred to me that nobody ever feels ready in real life.
I haven’t felt READY for a challenge since high school, when I had tests graded on an absolute scale (90%+ is an A). I just had to do all the necessary studying and show up to demonstrate that I was prepared for the examination.
This stands in contrast to tests graded on a curve or games with only 1 winner. You can only feel confident about your odds.
This is how real life is… you best make your preparations for a new challenge but you will never know if you were ready until you do it.
maybe that’s why Nike says “Just Do It”
